Creativity Explored partners with Mission Lotería this winter
This fall and winter, Creativity Explored joined more than 50 other Mission District businesses and organizations in the Mission Lotería campaign.
During the CE Holiday Art Shop on Saturday, December 10, Mission Lotería hosted a pop-up event to encourage shoppers to visit the gallery and studio and learn about Mission Lotería. The event featured treats from Café de Olla and live music by Darin Villanueva. Shoppers browsed artwork by CE artists, picked up Mission Lotería game boards to shop in the area, and played some classic games of Lotería for prizes featuring CE products. Luis Quiroz, Marketing Consultant for Mission Lotería, led the group in some rounds of Lotería, and shared facts and history of the Mission District along the way.
As a Legacy Business and one of over 50 businesses along the 16th Street Corridor, Creativity Explored is honored to be included with so many fantastic neighbors as a stop on the Mission Lotería map. Hosting the Mission Lotería event in our studio and gallery space this season enabled us to share our artists' work with numerous Mission District residents and visitors, some of whom were first-time visitors. Plus, the treats and refreshments from neighboring Café de Olla were delicious!
Creativity Explored artist Irene Rivas's work was featured in Mission Loteria’s winter campaign. We are looking forward to partnering with Mission Lotería in the future, and encourage you to check out the businesses that are listed on their map.
We are grateful to Mission Lotería for helping folks remember to invest in and celebrate the rich culture in the Mission!
About Mission Lotería
Mission Lotería is a marketing campaign in partnership with the SF Office of Economic and Workforce Development (SF OEWD), the Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA), and Calle 24 Latino with a goal to engage residents and visitors, and encourage them to invest in and celebrate the rich culture of the Mission. It is an initiative that combines local art, small businesses, and a love for Lotería with imagery inspired by the Mission District of San Francisco. To play, shoppers get their game board from any of the businesses and organizations that are participating, shop to complete their boards, and then enter to win prizes.
