International Interior Design Association selects CE as the philanthropic beneficiary two consecutive years
At Creativity Explored, we love working with partners who believe in the potential of art to change lives.
IIDA, the International Interior Design Association, supports design professionals, industry affiliates, educators, students, firms, and their clients through a network of over 15,000 members across 58 countries. The Northern California Chapter has more than 900 members, and CE has had the honor of serving as their Philanthropic Beneficiary since 2020.
The IIDA San Francisco City Center Philanthropy Committee strives to inspire designers and industry members to give back to local organizations which serve the community. Their efforts go to support these organizations through coordination of volunteer activities, donation drives, and monetary gifts provided by events sponsored by the Northern California IIDA chapter.
By advertising and encouraging participation, members of their professional community come together to serve a common cause. This year, that cause is supporting artists with disabilities through increased visibility and financial support for Creativity Explored.
IIDA SF as a chapter is helping to spread the message about Creativity Explored's mission and events to their members and community.
They are also inviting CE artists, teachers, mentors and leadership to be a part of events to help build awareness about Creativity Explored. At IIDA’s first session of this year’s San Francisco Student Portfolio Workshop, CE Teaching Artist Michael Napper and Director, Art Partnership, Ann Kappes, discussed their creative processes, including what to do when stuck in a creative design rut.
They have donated goods and services to CE fundraisers, and have purchased CE art and art merchandise for their events and as gifts for panel participants. At the end of each year IIDA SF City Center donates all proceeds to their philanthropic partner.
This last year was unprecedented and Creativity Explored will continue to be IIDA SF’s beneficiary for another year. We look forward to this continued partnership and all that it may bring.
