Karla Joanna Sanchez

Karla Joanna Sanchez is new to art-making and a willing explorer of new mediums. Since beginning work at Creativity Explored she has experimented with watercolor painting, collage, and embroidery. Inspired by the color and movement of flora and fauna, Sanchez paints bright red flowers, birds with rainbow feather displays, and multi-colored stitch work.
Of her subject matter, Sanchez noted “I like the freedom of birds” pointing to her desire to re-create parts of the world around her that she finds beautiful & energetic. Her inquisitive-nature enables her to keep learning & experimenting with artistic voice and subject matter as she develops a visual style all her own.
