Growing up in a household filled with music and drawing, Alaina Schlier was inspired to be an artist at a young age. Whether working on an architectural artwork or a landscape, Schlier's mixed media artworks are marked by careful attention to detail.
Schlier's subject matter is influenced by many sources including movies, holidays, and most recently astrological signs. After selecting her theme, Schlier begins her work first by drawing figures and shapes in pencil or colored pencil. Then, she adds watercolor or acrylic paint to create depth and texture. Schlier's works are detailed and carefully considered compositions.
