Recapping our first-ever virtual Art Changes Lives gala

THANK YOU for supporting our first-ever virtual Art Changes Lives! With your help, we raised over $100,000 to support Creativity Explored artists and programs, and donations are still rolling in.

Here is a recap of some of our favorite highlights from last Friday's festivities:

  • The long-awaited live auction! All of our live auction pieces and experiences were sold at generous prices in a tight bidding war.

  • CE artist Joseph Omolayole talked with teaching artist Glenn Peckman about his evolving art practice, the upcoming fashion show, and what's next for him and his art.

  • Unveiling our Digital Community Quilt, which all of YOU help create leading up to ACL 2021.

  • After a gripping live auction, guests were able to relax and enjoy the rest of the night in one of our after-party rooms: dance party with CE artist Joseph “JD” Green and teaching artist Tom Leach, artmaking party led by CE artist Rory White, beer tasting with our sponsor Fort Point Beer, and silent auction curator talk with curator and exhibitions coordinator Cléa Massiani.

The fun doesn’t stop there! You can keep the party going by donating to support our life-changing services, adding a patch to our community quilt, and sharing our work with your friends and family.
