CE artwork takes residence in luxury apartment homes at 50 Jones
50 Jones Luxury Apartments
Creativity Explored artwork finds a new home at 50 Jones - a brand new, luxury Mid-Market apartment complex by Shorenstein.
We partnered with the development team at Shorenstein to curate and install 14 original artworks by CE artists last fall. The artworks selected for this project come from six CE artists with different styles, together creating a unique but cohesive collection.
The significance of this community partnership is multifaceted for us. At CE, we take pride in breaking down the barriers in the art world with robust exhibitions outreach, grants, collaborations, and projects like 50 Jones that connect our artists with communities right here in SF. Rather than buying commercial art from a manufacturer or outsourcing prints from outside the community, Shorenstein approached our art services department for local artwork with deeper meaning.
Kaocrew “Yah” Kakabutra, Corine Raper, Elana Cooper, Taneya Lovelace, Vincent Jackson, and Quintin Rodriguez are represented in the 50 Jones selections.
About the Homes at 50 Jones
On the corner of Jones and Market, this urban oasis is centrally located with convenient access to all SF has to offer. Not to mention the iconic neon public artwork titled The Ladder by Iván Navarro featured on the side of the building - 50 Jones is hard to miss. With CE art on the walls at 50 Jones, we hope residents, staff, and visitors will be able to connect with us and become advocates for artists with disabilities.

We’re partial to spaces that are filled with art (and even better if it’s CE art!). Additional Mid-Market and Tenderloin spaces where we have exhibited or installed CE artwork include Hotel G, Cutting Ball Theatre, and the Main SF Public Library Branch.
Hotel G near Union Square is a longtime CE art services partner housing original artwork in their guest rooms and lobby, including some epic commissions featuring artwork by Richard Wright.
We miss visiting our partners at Cutting Ball Theatre. The team at Cutting Ball operates an incredible performance space and has even licensed CE art to use for their program designs. Recently, Cutting Ball commissioned CE to create background art and animations for their first virtual production, Utopia.
The Main Branch of the SF Public Library has always been a favorite for our community as well. Recently they hosted an exhibition featuring many portraits by CE artists of local Disability Changemakers that travelled to libraries around the Bay. It was wonderful to see this community recognized and honored with portraits in a public space.
