Bigbelly receptacles come to life with Creativity Explored artwork in the Yerba Buena Community Benefit District.
Creativity Explored takes to the streets of the Yerba Buena Community Benefit District (YBCBD) with Bigbelly receptacles. Artists Vincent Jackson, Ethel Revita, and Irene Rivas submitted artwork to the YBCBD Committee in the summer of 2020 to be featured on a series of Bigbelly Trash Receptacles.
Vincent Jackson’s thematic faces, figures, and bold colors are featured on three different designs, Ethel Revita’s colorful zebras and vibrant patterns cover three Bigbelly receptacles, and Irene Rivas’ larger-than-life fish, fruit, and female figures wrap around three different receptacles as well.
This is the second time CE artwork has been chosen for Bigbelly receptacles in the Yerba Buena Community Benefit District. Previous artists selected include Andrew Li and Hung Kei Shiu. Many of their designs are still on view near 4th and Mission streets.
Ethel Revita, Untitled (Zebras), 2020, marker and watercolor on paper, 33 x 60 inches on display outside Muscone Center near Kieth Harring’s “Three Dancing Figures” sculpture.
Multiple Vincent Jackson artworks surround this Bigbelly.
