Gordon Chin
b. 1962 ∙ CE artist from 2005 - 2016
Gordon Chin is most known for his simple representation of pop culture images, often accompanied with a terse, playful caption. He most often works in Sharpie, finishing with a wash of watercolor that lends a timelessness to his references. Chin has a fascination with the question mark, often scrawling that piece of punctuation large and colorfully above a word or phrase that provokes thought.
Chin’s greeting cards are well known, and his iconic donut images have been used by CB2 drawings of donuts on a set of dessert plates.
