Our Individual Giving Program

Here, we make art to make a difference. We are a nonprofit, multimedia visual arts center in San Francisco where artists with developmental disabilities create, exhibit, and sell original art.

Since 1983, we have provided artists with developmental disabilities studio space, instruction, materials, and exhibition opportunities. At Creativity Explored, our artists find support and community. Through art, many find voice for the first time. The work they create is uncensored, fearless, innovative, and fresh. It is admired and purchased by art lovers and collectors around the world.

Your donations are essential to provide the innovative, high quality programming that CE is noted for. Every year we must raise over $300,000 from individuals, private foundations, businesses, and community groups. State contracts and program fees cover only 70% of Creativity Explored’s expenses. 50% of the proceeds from every art sale go directly to studio artists, and do not support programs at Creativity Explored.
